PoVelty

History

1985

started with software development in the programming language COBOL, later that year GW-BASIC was used.
In it, a number of calculation programs were written for an accountancy company.
In those programs, links with the database program dBASE III were incorporated.

1989

switched to programming in QBasic 4.5 in which besides software, a number of text adventures were written. These games can still be played in a DOS environment.

1994

started programming websites in the Windows 3.1 program notepad. Internet was only accessible via a telephone modem. There was more slowness than speed. To make a website visible reasonably quickly in Netscape Navigator, as few images as possible were used.
Applications and websites are still programmed in a text editor.

2000

started innovative project and product development, receiving several nominations and awards.
Develop WBO, a framework in which content is stored in a database and accessed by a website.

2001

purchase Windows NT server to host websites, applications and mail yourself.

2003

WBO will be succeeded by IBOsystems.

2006

has grown into a fully-fledged hosting company where everything was taken care of for the customer. IBOsystems is disappearing, WCMplus is the new successor and developed because of a greater need for simplicity and clarity.

2008

nomination for developed concepts.



2010

second prize innovation fair Utrecht for an audiovisual tool.



2011

started as publisher for the in-house developed magazine 'Het Groene Varen'.



2014

hobby development pond PLC.

2020

PoVelty will be split up, internet will remain under PoVelty, project and product development will be relocated under a new name with its own website. This includes old, current and new developments.

2021

After consultation with an audit agency, EasyELO was developed. A clear and concise ELO was developed with the aim of allowing the teacher and student to work quickly with the ELO.

2022

Aquatic control started, the improved version of the hobby project from 2014. New compiled software, housing and access to the system via an app.
